Competing in Miami, Florida

My second to last contest of 2010 season was the Musclemania Universe in Miami, Florida. It marked a milestone as my first time competing as a professional, in what was only my 4th time ever competing. I'll spare you all the little details; but, needless to say, I faced a lot of obstacles by competing so far away from home. For instance, taking too much time away from work was an issue. Of course, where there's a will there's a way, and I was able to make it happen. My friends and family were also instrumental in making it a reality.

It was a fierce battle, featuring many well known names in the natural bodybuilding world. When it was all said and done, and the dust settled, I walked away a champion for the 4th consecutive time. I won my first pro show, and became the Musclemania Universe professional division champion; I beat out 15 other pros to do so. And, since It was a drug tested, I have the results to back it up.

When the dust had settled, I was the 2010 Musclemania Professional Division Champion.

Natural Muscle Magazine mentioned me and included my picture in a brief summary of the contest.

My last, and final contest of the 2010 season, was the NPC Team Universe. And, if you read my first post in this thread, you already know how that went.

My reason for sharing this, is to let you guys know that success in bodybuilding really has absolutely nothing to do with drugs. You can build an impressive physique solely from training your butt off and eating with a purpose. Over the years, I can't tell you how many times people have given me dirty looks or stared in bewilderment when they saw the type and quantity of food I eat. Even my parents thought I was crazy! In fact, they probably still do.

I don't expect to ever be the biggest or the strongest. Sometimes, there are other factors that go into becoming the best. But, experience has taught me that my best can take me pretty far. But, who am I? I'm a regular person just like yourself. You don't have to take my word for it. Just ask an IFBB pro...

Like Phil Heath said, "Your best is good enough."
